Switch from Keeper
Export a .json file from Keeper, import it in Vallkey, and keep everything. It takes a few minutes.
Step by step
In Keeper
- 1
Sign in to the Keeper web vault.
- 2
Choose Settings › Export.
- 3
Pick JSON: Keeper's CSV has no header row, so it can't be read reliably.
In Vallkey
- 4
In Vallkey, open Settings › Import, and choose Keeper.
- 5
Choose a .json file. It's read on your device: nothing is sent anywhere unencrypted.
- 6
Check the summary of what will come over, then confirm.
- 7
Delete the export file, and empty the trash it went to: it holds your passwords in the clear.

Questions
Is it safe to export from Keeper?
The export file isn't encrypted, so keep it on your own computer, import it straight away, and delete it afterwards. Vallkey reads it on your device.
Will I lose anything?
A few things can't come over: Files attached to items: download them first, then add them to the items in Vallkey; Items in the trash. Vallkey lists them before you confirm.
Can I keep using Keeper while I try Vallkey?
