Switch from KeePass and KeePassXC
Export your .kdbx or .kdb database from KeePass and KeePassXC, import it in Vallkey, and keep everything. It takes a few minutes.

Find your database file, ending in .kdbx, or .kdb from KeePass 1.

In Vallkey's import, choose it, and enter its master password, key file, or both.

In Vallkey, open Settings › Import, and choose KeePass and KeePassXC.

Choose your .kdbx or .kdb database. It's read on your device: nothing is sent anywhere unencrypted.

Check the summary of what will come over, then confirm.

Delete the export file, and empty the trash it went to: it holds your passwords in the clear.

Questions
Is it safe to export from KeePass and KeePassXC?
The export file isn't encrypted, so keep it on your own computer, import it straight away, and delete it afterwards. Vallkey reads it on your device.
Will I lose anything?
A few things can't come over: Entries in the recycle bin, and in KeePass 1's Backup group; Auto-type settings and icons. Vallkey lists them before you confirm.
Can I keep using KeePass and KeePassXC while I try Vallkey?
Yes. Importing changes nothing in the other app. Many people run both for a week, then cancel.
