Make a link
- Open the item and choose Share link….
- Choose how long the link lasts, up to 30 days, and whether it opens only once.
- Copy the link, and send it however you like.
Whoever opens the link sees the item as it was when you shared it: its title, fields, websites and notes. Not its password history, its passkeys or its files.
Revoke a link
The item lists its links. Choose Revoke, and the link stops opening at once.
How it stays private
The key that opens the item is the part of the link after the #, which browsers never send to servers. Vallkey’s servers hold only the encrypted copy, and delete it once the link expires, is used up or is revoked.
Think about where you send it
Anyone who has the link can read the item, and email and chat apps keep what’s sent through them. For anything that matters, make the link open once and expire soon, and change the password afterwards. Revoking stops the link, not what someone already read.
Share a vault instead
For someone who uses Vallkey and should keep access, share a vault.
